Srote & Co honored with "House of the Year" at 2022 Architect & Designer Awards
Thursday night, the greater St. Louis area’s top architecture and home design professionals tuned-in remotely for a live virtual awards ceremony where Design STL announced the 2022 Architect & Designer Awards honorees. 2022 marks the second year of the virtual celebration format. While the event format has traditionally been in-person and accompanied with dinner, drinks, handshakes, hugs and audible applause, Design STL has done an excellent job preserving the fundamentals of this annual event and keeping it in motion during these challenging times. The design community values the Architect & Designer Awards because it provides talented local firms and professionals the opportunity to have their work evaluated and scored by a panel of nationally recognized judges. 2022 showcased architectural and design projects from nearly 100 local companies within 30 award categories.
Srote & Co was thrilled to have six finalist nominations in five award categories this year. Many only possible by partnering with some outstanding local professionals, such as The Kemp Homes Company, Laurie LeBoeuf of Castle Design, Jeffrey Homes, Megan Temple of Megan Temple Design, and Tom Phillips of Beck/Allen Cabinetry. Photography also plays a major role for producing the most accurate impression of our completed work and we would like to recognize Alise O’Brien and Anne Matheis for their outstanding artistry in capturing architectural and interior design works.
At the end of the night, Srote & Co Architects was honored with the “House of the Year” award, shared with Laurie LeBoeuf of Castle Design, for the architectural design of Chateau de Countryside. This same project also took home the award for best Primary Suite, Foyer, and Traditional Bath (Greater than 150 Square Feet) categories. The runner-up for the “House of the Year” category was another project from Srote & Co Architects and partnered with Megan Temple Design, a luxury home design project named French Country Renewal. We enjoyed the 2022 virtual awards ceremony and are hopefully awaiting the return of an in-person venue for 2023. It’s always a pleasure to review the exemplary work produced from our local colleagues and we applaud every finalist in all award categories.
