This 12,000 square-foot French country chateau located in St. Louis County was a full-service architectural and interior design project. Exceptional collaboration and cohesion between our design teams, the homeowners and the home builder culminated the specific reality that our client had yearned for.
The home’s exterior architectural styling incorporates stone and stucco for the facade, a stately front turret with metal conical roof, porte-cochère, timber truss gable end accents, a combination of arched wall dormers and shed roof dormers, subtle sweeping roof lines with architectural shingles complemented by standing seam metal accent features, timber posts and corbels, gas lanterns, black aluminum-clad windows, and a mahogany entry door.
The back of this home was designed with outdoor enjoyment in mind. The flow from indoor to outdoor spaces are abundant with four connected yet independent living areas. A spacious veranda and lanai covered by a polygon turret roof and featuring an outdoor fireplace provides a cozy atmosphere, which then leads to a covered patio dining area with towering ceiling. The outdoor dining area is in direct view of the calming waterfall pool and beautiful backyard hardscape. A pool house situated at the far end of the pool deck provides an additional covered living area.
