This new, fully custom 7600 sq ft French Country inspired home exemplifies a cozy yet expansive living environment mixed with traditional warmth for empty nesting and modern airiness to comfortably accommodate larger gatherings.
In pursuit for appropriate lots to build within established St. Louis neighborhoods, the homeowners finally uncovered an opportunity to procure a lot with incredible appeal, suitably located in the heart of St. Louis County. After identifying the inspiration behind the homeowners’ vision, a creative collaboration by our architectural and interior design teams ensued. Our designers set off to find the perfect balance of classic and timeless elements featuring bright and colorful moments with a mission of sophistication enveloped by a French Country charm.
For an elevated sense of warmth and timeless appeal, the home design incorporates natural stone material throughout the interior living spaces and the home’s exterior. Marble was selected for the primary bathroom, black limestone for the screened-in porch floor, marble counters in the secondary bathrooms, quartzite countertops in the kitchen, and soapstone on other countertops. Stone and limestone on the floor-to-ceiling fireplaces in the great room and screened-in porch correspond with the exterior stone facade. The patina stone wash provides elevated elegance and character.
Stone and stucco facades mixed with natural timber elements add to the traditional warmth, meanwhile the architectural planning maximizes contemporary living, the lot's views and natural light. Special spaces and requests by the homeowners included a primary suite on the main floor, a study, lower-level golf simulator, lower-level bar, and a screened-in porch.
