This French Country style custom residence tucked within a long-established St. Louis neighborhood received a design renewal with additional living space. The goal was to restore charm to an obsolescent story-and-a-half cottage while infusing french country European elegance. This was achieved by adding a third dormer to the central facade to create rhythm, a quaint arched entryway, a gated English garden, a two-story office tower, and native stone veneer with brick accents as a nod to the original historic brick facade.
An expansive lanai and kitchen on the rear of the home extends the indoor living space to the exterior creating a symbiotic relationship between the two complimenting the clients' love for nature. This French Country Renewal home architecture project was a 2022 Design STL Architect & Designer Awards finalist for House of the Year.
