Srote & Co Architects provides full-service architectural expertise and interior design in both residential and commercial markets. The firm's residential segment is specialized in the design of luxury custom homes and estate properties, while the commercial segment specializes in project master planning, programming and commercial architectural design.

The firm's history dates back to the early 2000’s, and the origination of a fully staffed firm and its current award-winning design team ignited sometime in 2008. At that time Robert Srote had just started his own firm, Residential Masterworks, after working for many years at another prominent St. Louis area residential architectural firm. His original firm's focus was on high-end residential projects and providing services from programming and design through construction, but quickly evolved into a more comprehensive, full-service design firm under a different name. The firm’s name was eventually reformed again to Srote & Co; a name that not only represents the principal architect, but also the entire talented team that constitutes a truly comprehensive architectural and design firm.

By approaching all projects with the same professionalism, care, and attention to detail, the firm's client list grew exponentially since establishing. As their workload grew, so did the size of the company. Having outgrown their office space, the firm relocated to Kirkwood, Missouri. Through hard work, award-winning designs, and a growing following of satisfied clients and their referrals, the firm became a major contributor in high-end St. Louis residential architecture. As their work became more nationally recognized, the firm began expanding outside of the St. Louis area.

After several successful projects in Lake Ozark, MO, Springfield, MO., and in other states such as Colorado, Washington, and Florida, it was clear that the firm's expansion into new markets was successful and in demand.

In 2015 after finding success in many commercial projects, the firm acquired John Lark & Associates, an accomplished architectural firm specializing in commercial planning and design, to enhance their expertise and diversify the practice.
In that same year, the firm ventured into the interior design market by launching an interior design division. The purpose of the expansion was to meet their clients' needs without sub-contracting the service, thus creating a more cohesive project and better value for clients. In 2016 the expansion into the structural engineering market was realized with their structural engineering division for the same reasons, project cohesion and client value. Providing their clients a more cohesive, single-source accountability firm structure remained a primary goal.

In 2017 the firm relocated its office headquarters and studio to a new, larger building in Brentwood, MO. Plans to move were necessitated by the significant growth of clients and staff over the previous few years. The new Brentwood facility provided increased space and offered an efficient design studio and office layout, supporting the firm's continued growth and expansion.

Srote & Co Architects believe that listening to the client's needs and goals for their project, analyzing and researching the site and building systems, then creating and implementing a well-informed design solution is the key to meeting, and exceeding, client expectations.

Since establishing, Srote & Co Architects have created award-winning master planned communities and model homes, speculation homes, additions and renovations; along with notable multi-family projects and townhouses. The firm's commercial portfolio includes more than thirty Shop 'n Save Supermarkets, numerous retail shopping centers, restaurants, office buildings, tenant finish and other specialty projects. Srote & Co continues to raise the benchmark while achieving national recognition and receiving numerous architectural and interior design awards from institutions such as: International Property Awards,, International Builder's Show, AGC of America, Home Builder Digest, St. Louis Homes & Lifestyles, Design STL Architect & Designer Awards, St. Louis Business Journal, Kirkwood Landmarks Commission.

Headquartered in St. Louis, MO, the firm is currently licensed in AZ, CO, FL, IL, IN, KY, MI, MO, MS, NC, NY, OH, TN, TX, UT, and WI.
